GRA IT Training Institute

Providing Digital Education

An on-going project to provide a purpose built , fully equipped IT Training Centre for the Ghana Revenue Authority, together with the operational structure and business process needed to provide a hybrid learning environment of both classroom and eLearning for the 12,000+ employees of the organisation.

Challenge

With a clean slate for eLearning , new techniques could be applied but this requires a motivated client

Value

With the development of the eLearning environment the initial impact is the lower cost for training to those living far from the capital Accra, as accommodation and transport forms a high proportion of the cost for training for the client.

Another factor in the efficiency of training within a digital environment is the ability to have refreshers courses on an ad hoc basis , where the employee utilise their 24/7 access to a system that retains the courses they attended, and can review topics rather than whole modules.

The management have access to view across entire department on the effectiveness of training through the reports at their fingers tips.

Courses are provided on the Moodle LMS platform, and developed using Adobe tools such as Captivate , Photoshop and Premiere together with Microsoft Office 365 for documentation, giving a full Audio-Visual online experience.
